"It's a bit unusual but then, I enjoy running and just move forward - I'm not staying back that much," he said.

"I tell my defender 'I'm not hanging back' and that I'm just going to continue attacking.

"That running is what I'm after. It's enjoyable."

Along with Cisse's 6 scores on his first game, Stephen Ireland has scored 8 in three appearances for Wythenshawe, while George Boyd scored 5 on his first appearance and Lescott, a defender by trade, notched a hat-trick in one game up front.

Wythenshawe are top of the Premier Tier with three wins from three and a GD of +19.

Paul Barrow, 38, who features on the wing for Collegiate OB, came up against ex- Wigan full-back Maynor Figueroa on Sunday - and had to explain his young boy who Emile Heskey was.

"It was spreading like wildfire they had these former top-flight players," remarked the player.

"I felt I was a little starstruck facing him to be honest.

"Even Emile [Heskey] came on and he's has 60-odd English appearances.

"Our side competed well for a good twenty mins but then we had a player sent off and it was tough.

"Our group really haven't ceased chatting about it - I was phoning my mum and brother on the way home.

"They were all dead sound, shaking our hands after the match - it was like playing a bunch of regular fellas.

"Now we can't wait for the return fixture."
