Much like Storm Claudia hit the northern region the night before, Manchester City overwhelmed United away at the Etihad Stadium. It was a convincing three goal win for their manager's side thanks to goals from Rebecca Knaak, Shaw and Hemp. It was a display that firmly established their leadership claims as they reinforced their position at the league summit.

Back-to-Back Setbacks for United

This outcome signalled successive league setbacks for Skinner's side for the initial occasion since May 2024, leaving them a sizable gap off the top team with their title hopes severely dented.
